  • How are Czechoslovakian Vlcak with other dogs?
    Csv typically are social as puppies (like any other dog) and then mature into being same-sex aggressive (SSA) or dog selective (DS). This means that csv with not get along with strange, intact dogs. This breed has strong, sexually competitive nature.
  • Are they a hybrid?
    Outside of the United States, the Czechoslovakian Vlcak can be referred to as the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog. Ultimately, the csv has a closed studbook, breed true, have unique genetic breed markers and are a purebred breed of dog. In the United States, where wolfdogs are illegal in several states, referring to the breed as a wolfdog can be dangerous and can result in a misunderstanding that may harm a dog or could result in them removed from their home.
  • How much exercise do they have?
    Csv are happy with going for a walk, hiking, or burning off energy playing with their owners. They have good off switches in the house.
  • How much does a csv puppy cost?
    This is a really good question. The price of a puppy can depend on a lot of key factors. The initial cost of buying a puppy is a small fraction to what you will be spending throughout its' life. Depending on location, quality, importing fees etc., you can find a puppy to cost anywhere from 700-3,500+.
  • How is their energy level and how high is their drive?
    Per breed standard, csv should have boundless energy. They fit well into an active household. These dogs have great off switches however. If you're used to high drive breeds and would like your next dog to have the same drive, you might want to check out a different breed. Csv have low to medium drive.
  • What should I feed my Vlcak?
    Csv has no specific nutritional requirements. As with all dogs, we recommend feeding either a high quality kibble or raw diet.
